So today we went to see the Tut exhibit at G-Wiz Science center. It wasn't anything to write home about, but it was a nice afternoon break. And, since I didn't have to pay to get in (reciprocal membership is a wonderful thing), I can't complain.
The Royal Throne and the Princess-Brat-in-Training playing the Harp(or something like that)--it was worked by light waves instead of string.

They spell "Britt" and "Chy" and they look so enthused, right?

This was a game called "Mindball". You basically strapped on that headband thingy and then fell asleep! The ball, centered, moved by your brain waves, the more relaxed you were, the more the ball moved to your opponents side. If it got there, you won. Now, don't be fooled by the lack of brain waves on my and my daughter's picture. PBiT was taking it and she didn't wait for it to actually start. PB won against her sister and I beat PB in ours--like 2 seconds after PBiT took the photo
Nobody can accuse me of not being able to relax!

A real, honest to goodness, mummy--an eagle at that.
And the brats spelling their name in Heiroglyphics.

Sending Smoke Signals.

All the pictures are in thumbnail, except this one. This one I had to enlarge for you, just to prove that I DO have Demon Children:

They were racing. PB beat PBiT by a split second.

Today, we went to the Pier in St. Petersburg for some "blast from the past". You know, being homeschoolers, you do try to give your kids some "culture". That is, or rather translates to "Boring, Mom" from a 15 yr old and an impromptu Air Guitar from a 12 yr old.
Here ya go and enjoy our/your trip into the past. Click on the thumbnails to make them larger.
We start your trip with a visit to the H.M.S. Bounty. Yes, THAT Bounty.

From the 5th story of the Pier looking down on the Bounty

Side trippin' to a Pelican and a Horse

Then to the Aquarium on the 2nd floor, where we visited with some friends

(She's feeding the sharks and trying to avoid feeding a giant clam)

Now here comes the Culture shock. Do you all remember The Rascals(Grooovin.....)? Or maybe The Tropics? Or I am sure someone remembers Black Sabbath....Well, this is what happens when you combine them all together--you get The New Rascals and a major culture shock for a 15 yr old and an air guitar for a 12 yr old.
Charlie Sousa(The Tropics), Me, and Bill Pasquali (The Rascals)

Me and Dino "Pug" Dinelli, former Sabbath Drummer

THE Air Guitar... they launched into the Doors, she had no idea, but just started strumming along....

The Family (Dad, Princess Brat in Training, Princess Brat, and Mom) and you notice Princess Brat is wearing the "WTF is this shit?" look, dontcha?

The Mom and Her Mommy

Aside from the rain, it was a fun, had too many drinks but jammed my ass out, day.
